Just a lil something I've been working on all afternoon. 8D
EDIT: How many of you guys actually remember Loki? He's the son of my characters Rowan and Freyja, and he's also part-troll, part-witch, and part-human. I just wasn't sure if anyone remembered him, because I don't draw him that much, but to refresh you, here you go: [link][link]
I taped a piece of paper to my tablet, so it gives it a more textured surface and gives the feeling of actually drawing on a piece of paper. I drew this in the computer, and it was actually a lot easier with that textured surface underneath - it wasn't so slippery, haha.
I love drawing babies, and I need more practice drawing them and their strange positions. ^^ I used this image [link] as my reference. Santa's stupid hands get in the way of the baby's left hand, so I had to come up with something. Hopefully it doesn't look too awful...

Dude.... No way. That has to be the most awesome idea ever. Why didn't I think of that before?! Brilliant. Just... brilliant! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Very cute drawing, by the way! There is a nice feeling of fluidity and motion in the piece -- it doesn't come off as too "tied-down". There are a few things that could be improved upon, such as the position and shape of the baby's back foot, his hands, and, perhaps, the length of his nose. However, improvement will come in time and as you continue to practice. Overall, this is one of your better pieces, in my opinion, and you already have a nice gallery.
Haha, I know, isn't that just the greatest idea ever? I was looking up something for my tablet (I can't remember... it was acting up so I was trying to Google solutions) and that idea was randomly in one of the search results. I just happened to see it... and I was like, "DANG, that would help SO much!" I tried it... and voila! It works great! Glad I could help, haha! 8D
I think I'm going to update the deviation with some more information on this character, because it really seems as though I just "assume" everyone's going to remember him. xDD For instance, Loki naturally has abnormally large feet, which he gets from his mother and grandfather (his ancestors on his paternal grandfather's side were trolls). So I suppose maybe that's why they look a little off..? Same goes for his nose... his mother has a longer nose, so he kinda pulls that from her, too. (I get my hypothetical troll designs from *Bonka-chan, if you wanted to get a more visual idea of where I'm coming from.)
I always appreciate you pointing out different things like that to me, so I can be more aware of it later. I always appreciate your help and overall thoughts! Thank you also for the favorite, too! 8DD

Mmm. That sounds like a good idea. He sure seems to have an interesting history. As for his feet and nose: Ah! That explains things! Heheh.
No problem, red! I appreciate your comments, too.

Ahhh, the ears....
Awesome.
I seriously think that the ears just add cuteness by 50x... and they're SO fun to draw!
Thank you!

and as for coloring... I say OK!
Oh, awesome... I needed some input, cuz I wasn't sure if I wanted to finish this... but I think I should! 8D
